Extrudation, also known as extrusion, is a manufacturing method used to shape plastic materials to specific profiles and components. At MK Plastteknik we produce high quality plastic profiles – everything from simple pipes to complex structures.
What is extrusion?
Extrudering är en tillverkningsprocess där plast smälts och pressas genom en form för att skapa en profil. Genom strängsprutning kan vi skapa både enkla och avancerade plastprofiler som uppfyller våra kunders behov. Vi arbetar med flera olika plastmaterial för att säkerställa att slutprodukten har rätt egenskaper för dess avsedda användning.
Material
PVC – Polyvinyl chloride is a versatile material that offers durability, chemical resistance and formability. PVC is often used to manufacture products such as moldings, seals and cable management systems. The material can withstand moisture and UV radiation, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
PE – Polyethylene is known for its flexibility and impact resistance. It is often used in applications where mechanical stress or chemical attack occurs. PE is also resistant to moisture and temperature changes, making it useful in the construction sector and for transportation solutions.
PP – Polypropylene is a strong material that is often used in more demanding applications. It has a high chemical resistance and the ability to withstand high temperatures. PP is easy to shape and has a surface gloss, making it useful for automotive components, technical applications and building materials.
For more specialized applications, we also work with technical plastics such as polyamide (PA) and polycarbonate (PC).
- Polyamide (PA): Characterized by high strength and wear resistance, it is often used in components exposed to mechanical stress.
- Polycarbonate (PC): A transparent and impact-resistant material used in products that need to be both strong and lightweight.
